Le Yen Thanh is a well-known figure in the Vietnamese technology industry. He is the Founder & CEO of Phenikaa MaaS, a startup that provides smart mobility solutions.With remarkable achievements, Yen Thanh has been recognized by both Forbes Asia and Forbes Vietnam in their 30 Under 30 list in 2022. He has received numerous awards in entrepreneurship, innovation, and other competitions from renowned IT competitions and academies while still a student. He represented Vietnam twice in the ACM-ICPC World Finals, an international programming competition, in 2014 and 2016. He also achieved three victories in the ACM-ICPC Asia Regional Contest in 2014, 2015, and 2016. In 2013, he was recognized as the outstanding student in the Vietnamese Student Olympiad in Informatics. With these achievements, he is among the few young individuals in Vietnam who have received significant awards while still being a student, including the Golden Globe Award for young Vietnamese engineers and scientists in 2013, the Honda Y-E-S Award for Engineering, the title of Exemplary Young Citizen of Ho Chi Minh City, and the title of Outstanding Young Face of Vietnam.Thanh founded BusMap from 2019, the most widely used application in Vietnam for searching information about bus routes, stops, and schedules on the map. BusMap successfully raised an impressive amount of $1.5 million in funding in 2020.
